  2. GEOLOGICAL FEATURES • The ocean has under water mountain chains, some of which are volcanoes. • Deep in the ocean you can see the plates spreading apart and coming together in some places. • The mid ocean ridge is the longest and largest mountain chain on earth.

  3. FEATURES CONTINUED • There are coral reefs in the warm shallow waters, like the Great barrier reef off the coast of Australia. • The ring of fire is a big circle of underwater volcanoes, and tectonic plates causing many earth quakes and volcanic activity in the pacific.

  4. PHOTOSYNTHETIC ORGANISMS • Plankton are photosynthetic organisms. They supply oxygen to Earth. • Plankton are autotrophs

  5. Animals • There are many types of aquatic animals like sharks, whales, fish, amphibians, cessations, reptiles(salt water crocodile)

  6. Human Impact • We dump chemicals and waste in the oceans which kills the ecosystems. • Some people are trying to preserve the coral reefs so the ecosystems. • We try to get oil out of the ocean and sometimes there are spills which kill ecosystems also.

  7. The oceans around the world. The ocean floors map

  8. What its worth • We get many of resources out of the ocean. We get oils and minerals out of the ocean for our cars and houses. • The ocean also brings the fishing industry good money and we get our seafood from here, so keep it clean. • We also energy from the hydroelectric power stations.
