    4. Socio-economical context The French population is getting older and this fact is accompanied with numerous phenomena of physical and psychic dependence. Nowadays 475 000 old persons live in institution and 800 000 have personal assistance at home In this context, a fast and load increase of the networks of care and coordinations has to be planned with numerous risks of multiplication of devices and financing 4

    7. Definition The non formal Carer is a relatively an old woman who expresses an important suffering and load responsibility. The non formal carers can help the old person dependent on two manners: by giving time or by giving money. There are programs which helps the carers but they are rarely taking into account their financial difficulties. It would be necessary to estimate these programs from the point of view of the carers in the way to encourage and improve the situation. 7
