Some findings of the survey Laundry, household cleaning and preparing the meals are mainly womans duties; small repair of the house – fathers duty.Most equally are divided shopping and looking after sick family members – but also here mothers role is more important. Biggest part of men participating in cooking we had in Norway (52%), Belgium (49%) and Iceland (47%); into household cleaning are engaged one third of icelandic and norwegian men.

  7. Some findings of the survey Girls deny this opinion more actively than boys do. 90% Armenian and 73% Estonian boys agree with this statment, as well as 58% Armenian and 39% Estonian girls. In Iceland 50% of boys agree with that (in Belgium 39%, in Norway 28%, in Spain 8%).

  8. Some findings of the survey Another opinion, were we can follow remarkable differences between countries, is supported by 77% Armenians and 57% of Estonians. Boys, supporting this statement: Armenia 90%; Estonia 66%; Iceland 45%; Norway 39%; Belgium 36%; Spain 26%. Girls: Armenia 67%; Estonia 51%; Belgium 24%; Norway 24%; Iceland 18%; Spain 4%

  10. Some findings of the survey There are differences between boys and girls undestranding the problem of equal rights. Biggest differences in Belgium (“yes” 48% of boys and 25% of girls) and in Spain (“yes” 40% of boys and 11% of girls)

Do men and women in your country have equal possibilities/rights for … • Students, who answer that there are no equal opportunities between male and female in their society today, mainly have in mind the inequality in the working life (getting interesting work, good salary and/or promotion at workplace). They also see problems with equal possibilities to participate in politics.
