  2. Acknowledge: (verb) admit, recognize as Sentence : At the end of the trial , the jury were asked to acknowledge the witness as guilty of crime.

  3. Adulation: (noun) admiration, respect Sentence : During the Oscar awards , the actor was kindly accepting the adulation of the crowd with delight.

  4. Adversary: (noun)Enemy, opponent, foe. Sentence: Although Laertes was Hamlet’s adversary in the fencing bout, they still exchanged forgiveness before they passed away.

  5. Compile: (verb) accumulate, collect, pile up Sentence : The author spent years compiling facts about different tourist sites in Europe before writing his travel book .

  6. Complacency: (noun)self satisfaction , contentment Sentence : After years of success, the manager’s complacency stopped him from aiming for further great achievements.

  7. Denounce: (noun) to condemn or criticize publically Sentence : It seemed that Mrs. Smith was still in love with the defendant , because she could not seem to bring herself to denounce him openly in court.

  8. Adage: (noun) proverb ,saying Sentence : My favorite adage is;”a friend in need is a friend in deed”.

  9. Depravity:(noun) immorality, corruption, evil Sentence : War is a proof of human depravity while peace is a sign of salvation.

  10. Enhance: (verb) improve, add to, increase Sentence : The experts at the traveling agency enhanced the travel brochure by adding to it all the details a tourist may need to know about his country of destination.

  11. Enigma:(noun) mystery, riddle, puzzle Sentence : Sherlock Holmes has always been the best person at solving enigma’s.
