Mission Statement We at Hometown Hockey Minnesota are committed to the full development of all hockey players, parents, and coaches through a broad range of programs that set high expectations and inspire high achievement. AT HOMETOWN HOCKEY MINNESOTA WE BELIEVE...That with highly skilled and trained coaches, we can challenge any player throughout our program by offering multiple competitive levels of play...That an energetic and exciting environment promotes skill development... In creating positive relationships between players, coaches, and parents, so that all three work as one...That our Hockey Program will feel like your Home; where we will instill character traits in your children such as integrity, honesty, sportsmanship and good work ethic to help them deal with life during and beyond their hockey years...

I believe that if they work hard in practice and during games, they will be rewarded and hopefully that lesson will transfer over to other areas that the kids are involved in.

Everyday my goal is to make a positive impact on the kids I see. By being a positive coach, leader/mentor & listener, I want my kids to love the game of hockey by working on weaknesses and mastering the things they do well.

I am a firm believer that the lessons learned through playing this great game carry over into all aspects of life to make hockey players better people. I am passionate about the game of hockey and this comes through in my intensity in coaching. I like to combine a high-energy approach that develops skills and a love for the game through teamwork, fun and hard work.

My motto is "Practice makes permanent. Perfect practice makes perfect", so that is what we strive for. My goal is for all of the kids leave better than they arrived, knowing that hard work and a positive attitude will get them far not only in hockey, but life as well...

Teach fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-confidence, respect, trust and character on and off the ice.

I believe hockey is a great way to instill life skills and create life long friends.

My #1 goal is to make sure every player improves and returns to the great game of hockey after our season, whether summer or winter. To attain this goal, I focus on high intensity skill development, systems understanding through discussion of why they are doing the drill they are doing and when to apply it. I try to ensure this all happens in a fun, safe and structured environment.

Coach U14 Blue – Paul “Grubby” Heath • Playing Experience • Played youth hockey and HS for Irondale   • All Conference twice • Coaching Experience • Coached youth boys mite through midget • Head/ Asst. coach in Andover • Junior Huskies through U14 for last 12 years • Coached youth hockey for 33 years. • This summer season the goal is to have everyone improve their skills and teamwork through hard work and dedication as they prepare for their high School career.  All while having fun and enjoying this time in their life.

I do not just train hockey players, I train young adults. I teach the right way to play the game with respect and integrity to show honor of the game, creating a fun hard working environment for kids.
