  2. Learning process is natural. It’s something of our nature,something we do during the whole  life,something that should fill us with curiosity, enthusiasm and inspiration. Students learn well if they have fun.

  3. History lesson in the 5th grade and the 11th grade Subject: • The rule of Tsar Ivan Asen II / 1218-1241/. • The topic is taught in both classes, and of course in the 5th grade is taught some basic facts, and in the 11th grade the topic is taught more extended and deepened

  4. Method: A funny game called "Every child knows it”

  5. The teacher prepared 20 questions related to the management of the ruler Ivan Asen II. The teams are consisted of students from two grades. It is important for students in the 5th grade to have excellent knowledge of history. There is a screen in the classroom

The objectives -to familiarize students with the most important facts of the reign of Ivan Asen II -to describe and explain the political, economic and spiritual changes in Bulgarian society -to identify the contents of historical concepts -to identify and describe the monuments of the national culture - to track and explain territorial and social changes in the Balkans and Europe -to retrieve information from various sources

  8. Participants: a team of 3 students in the 5th grade called Kids and second team- students in the 11th grade called Competitors

  9. Regulation: • The teams take the appropriate seats. The students in the 5th grade have a pen and some papers to write their answers.

  10. Questions • The questions are displayed on the screen. The teacher reads the first question for the first contestant. She waits about one minute to allow the kids to write their answers on the sheets

  11. The contestant answers the question. The screen displays the correct answer. The kids lift the sheets and their answers are seen. If the competitor answers correctly the gamecontinues with the next competitor.

  12. If the answer is wrong but the kids respond correctly the competitor faces and in a loud voice says: I'm not smarter than a kid so the game continues

  14. When a student in 11th grade says: "I am not smarter than a child" the audience laugh and kids are happy because they know more than the older students.

The results • -Presentation the role of the Bulgarian ruler in medieval society - Explanation the concepts in their own words -Recognition the characteristic monuments of medieval culture -Understanding the contribution of the personality of Ivan Asen II in Bulgarian history and the role of the ruler of political developments in Bulgaria and Europe - Determine various historical documents
