  1. MSTWC History • Formed in 1998-established 501c3 status • Received MoDNR mini-grant 2009 • Hired first staff in 2010

  2. Stream Team Associations • Association Function- Multiple Stream Teams that work together to meet common goals • Strength in experiences, numbers, and diversity • 14 Associations- Located across the state • MSTWC Board- Every Association has representation on the board

  3. Mission • The Coalition promotes and supports watershed based Stream Team Associations, by serving as a resource for information, education, stewardship and advocacy; by facilitating communication among Associations; and by serving as a united voice for healthy watersheds in Missouri.

  4. How We Support our Stream Team Associations • Provide 501c3- Associations can utilize MSTWC’s non-profit status for donation request and when applying for grant funding • Email Marketing System- utilize “Constant Contact” system to manage and disseminate information (provided by MoDNR 319 mini grant)

  5. How We Support our Stream Team Associations • Educational Display- provides Associations a non-point source educational display for use at their events (provided by MoDNR 319 mini grant)

  6. Current Projects • Strategic Planning- developing action based goals for the organization in the following areas: Education/Outreach Technical Advocacy Sustainable Funding

  7. Missouri Stream Team Specialty License Plate • Allow Mo residents to purchase a Stream Team specialty plate • Revenue Stream for coalition • Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation Sponsored Application fee • Will be up for approval in the 2011 legislative session

Missouri Stream Team Specialty License Plate • Consider supporting the approval of this specialty plate by submitting an email message to mvbmail@dor.mo.gov by November 30 • Your full name • Your address • Your telephone number • I support the Missouri Stream Team Watershed “Stream Team” Specialty License Plate

  9. 319 Mini-Grant • Grant Period-October 2009 thru October 2010 • Create organizational foundation • Allows the coalition to create non-point source educational tools/products that stream teams and associations can utilize
