  2. Stop, Plan and Ponder • Review your dossier, reports, impact statements • Talk with peers • Plan dates to work on your applications • Print the 2007 At-A-Glance document and/or the Manual • Select the awards most meaningful to you

  3. What programs am I proud of? • Ask yourself – is my work different? • Is my program innovative? • If someone said “so what” - what would I say? • Is my program more than a feel good event? • Are there documented impacts? • Have I worked with a team?

  4. Expressing Yourself Well • Save the 30 & 50 words until last • Measurable impacts matter • Review judging sheets and take heed • Know the eligibility of the award you want to prepare • Judges look beyond the cover….

  5. Proof Your Work • Ask someone to read your application • Know the deadlines for submitting • Work with your association VP – he/she is your coach • Seek out help from past winners • Secure your pieces well • More than one category?
