According to the teachers of Preschool Palos Verdes Estates, CA, these problems arise when the brain fails to accurately receive and read the visual instructions sent by the eyes. Sometimes extremely low birth weight or having been very preterm may lead to these problems. Mild traumatic injury to the visual centers of the brain might also cause the disorder.
