  2. THERE WERE FLYING TURTLES!!!! • On top of the great achievements of Eons , another big first in space travel was achieved by a team of turtles . Flying on a Russian spacecraft called Zond 5, they flew to the moon and back in 1968. They were the first living beings from earth to do so. A few months later the first human did the same thing in Apollo 8.

  3. Leica &strelk, belka At lift off Leica was a little frightened but she soon calmed down , and one time in space she barked and ate food from her automatic dispenser. Her food were a special paste with all the ingredients needed to keep her healthy . Although her cabin was small , she could stretch her legs whenever she felt like it.But laika nevered returned. Strelka and Belka were the first ones to orbit the earth and safely return. The two Russian dogs went around the earth eighteen times. When they returned they became instant celebrities . Leica name means barker in Russian

  6. The first known spider web to be woven in space was achieved by Arbela the space spider . She was sent into space to see if she could weave a web in zero gravity.

  7. What I learned What I learned is that humans wasn't’t the only one in space animals were . They put animals up in space first because they wanted to know if you can breath .So they had to give the animals a lot of training so it doesn't’t press the wrong button.
