Parity of Esteem Parity of esteem refers to valuing mental health on the same level as physical health. • This means that we have equal access to support, treatments and services if we have mental ill health as we would if we were physical unwell. • equal access to the most effective and safest care and treatment • equal efforts to improve the quality of care • the allocation of time, effort and resources on a basis commensurate with need • equal status within healthcare education and practice • equally high aspirations for service users; and • equal status in the measurement of health outcomes

Ideas & Plans Attain Review of Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Services • Cinderella Service • Working to improve the quality of CAMHS services • Adult Mental Health Liaison Service (including Older people) • Supporting people with dementia and their carers • Physical Health Checks – Mental Health • Reducing waiting times for services • 7 day working
