  1. It’s Your Serve

  2. You were saved to serve God. You serve God by serving people.

  3. John 21:16 Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

  4. Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does…

  5. Serve…

  6. The Attitude of a Servant Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord…

  7. The Pitfalls of Servanthood Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men...

  8. I am doing too much when it means that my personal life is a mess. I am doing too much when those I am responsible for feel neglected. I am doing too much when I am doing more and enjoying it less

  9. Rewards of Serving

  10. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does…

  11. Matthew 10:42 “If anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

  12. Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

  13. 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

  14. Is Reward the same as Salvation?

  15. Titus 3:4-5 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us , not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

  16. Romans 5:8,9 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

  17. Investing for Eternity Matthew 6:19-21 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

  18. Building for the Future 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 - For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

  19. 12 If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.

  20. 14 If what he has built sur-vives, he will receive his reward. 15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

  21. Running to Win the Prize 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 - Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

  22. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last…

  23. Crown of Olive Leaves

  24. …but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

  25. 2 Timothy 4:7,8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

  26. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day — and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

  27. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

  28. 1 Corinthians 9:26-27 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

  29. But, brothers, when we were torn away from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you. 18 For we wanted to come to you — certainly I, Paul, did, again and again — but Satan stopped us.

  30. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? 20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.

  31. Philippians 4:1 Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown…

  32. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
