A summary of the XBRL filing campaign in the Italian Business Register, including statistics on annual accounts filed and the quality of XBRL files. Next goals include improving file quality and refining the Italian GAAP Taxonomy.

2010 : some figures about annual accounts campaign September the 3° 926134 annual accounts (a.a.) filed • Ordinary form : 8,83% • Short form: 89,67% • Consolidated financial statements: 0,39% • Other : 1,12%
No changes in the conventional filing process • a.a. dossier production • Adding a new annex: the XBRL file for the p.f.s. instead of the pdf version. • a.a. dossier components signature • a.a dossier filing
The first XBRL filing campaign 1st May – 3rd September: 865.000 a. a. filed • Total xbrl files = 829.411 98% • a.a. already avilable for the market 620.735 : • 607.573 xbrl • xbrl files needing a pdf integration integration • 179.419 21% The 21% of the italian companies need extensions to GAAP Taxonomy p
The quality of the xbrl files • 2009 : 991379 a.a. by end December xbrl files = 25586 2,5% • 2009: xbrl affected by severe errors= 5483 (~21.4%) • 2010 : 865.000 a.a. by end August 818.599 xbrl files out of 847718 already processed • xbrl affected by severe errors = 17.141 2 % • xbrl added of warning messages = 64718 8% • 90, 88% of xbrl files is excellent !
WARNING Messages Defined only for statistc purposes, generally repeated more times into single xbrl files
Calculation linkbase results 76.547 “calculation errors ” are NOT errors • rounding errors 30% • minus sign improperly used against the • “weight” attribute: • i.e.: deferred taxes, amortization • some of the “total” items are omitted
2011 Annual Account campaign next goals • improuve the quality of the filed xbrl documents • by: • refining the Italian GAAP Taxonomy • activating more detailed and effective controls
