  2. It takes a Chinese bamboo tree four solid years after planting to finally break ground; Nothing for four years after planting the seed.

  3. There is small bulb which appears eventually, with a little chute coming out of the bulb, but all the growth during the first four years is underground; Building a deep, fibrous, root structure.

  4. All of the growth is above ground because now it has a massive root structure to support it.

  5. On the fifth year the Chinese Bamboo tree grows up to 80 feet!

  6. Creating things that have meaning take a very long time.

  7. Be patient and persist whether you are creating a campus culture, a company or quality life.
