    4. Rationale & Scope Why? Dropping Fall to Fall Persistence Rates 07-08: 56.3% 08-09: 54.5% 09-10: 49.5% Three Year Graduation Rate-15.5% Three Year Transfer Rate-33.6% Frequency of Advising-GRCC Mean 1.6 (significantly below the 2009 CCSSE Cohort, 1=Rarely/Never, 2=Sometimes) What? Early Alert Academic Advising, including role of classroom faculty Assessment of Advising Training for Advising Enforcement of pre-requisites Behavioral Intervention Team Develop Gen Ed Certificate Other work processes and policies will be added as needed

    6. Academic Advisement Module in PeopleSoft What is it? Simplifies degree audit process Track student degree requirements Tailor academic plans for students (“What if” scenarios) Assists advisors and counselors with producing advisement reports (allows more advising time, less paper time)

    7. Departmental Advising CLT Subteam formed Departmental Advising Template created Faculty Guide for Student Advising created and distributed Training offered through Center for Teaching Excellence

Early Alert Limited Pilot Summer 2010, Fall 2010 Full Pilot Winter 2011 Training Offered Online As of 2/8/11: 218 faculty have raised 1 or more flags 1383 manual flags have been raised 2744 academic flags have been raised (including automatic flags for login) 1067 academic flags have been cleared or 39% Flag Surveys sent to all faculty on January 31, 2011 3130 surveys sent 747 have been completed

    9. Developing Student Learning Outcomes for Advising SLOs developed for IDEA SLOs revised in 2008 SLOs revised and aligned with new ILOs Next steps: Develop assessment plan to measure SLO attainment Point of service surveys Focus groups
