  1. Over the next term you have to complete one of the following pieces of homework. You can choose which ever one you want and spend as much time on it as you want. You will have to do a presentation to the rest of the class at the end of term. You can choose to do more than one challenge if you want. If you can think of another challenge in history that you could do just let your teacher know - come up with as many ideas as you can. However do remember that it has to be something to do with Victorian Britain. Good luck!

  5. Tunnel End, Marsden near Huddersfield

  7. A research project on Saltaire, near Bradford. The village of Saltaire was built by Titus Salt for his workers and their families. You could also visit Saltaire and include a report on your visit in this project.

  10. The Luddite Trail The Luddites were a group of men who were determined to stop the development of machinery through the use of violence. Many of them lived in and around Brighouse. You could go on a walk and visit some of the famous places associated with the Luddites.
