  3. Present Status • Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) • gcc 4.0.1 • PowerPC platform initially (AF decision) • Let Rosetta do the work on Intel architecture • Later build universals • Platform string: osx104_ppc_gcc401 • Later also: osx104_ia32_gcc401 • Non-linux (BSD) environment • .dylibs instead of .so • Compiler/linker flags different • Porting needed for several external packages • 7th (12th with _dbg) active platform at present AAM -- andreas.pfeiffer@cern.ch

  4. Status of LCG AA s/w on Tiger • External packages for LCG AA projects • Basically ported for LCG_45 • Some need more fine-tuning • Some needed “dependent” packages to be updated (e.g. bjam, CMake) • External packages for experiments • Patches from CMS for some (qt, mysql++, doxygen) • Will collect full list from experiments • Any feedback (or patch!) is appreciated • Help offered already by experiments • LCG AA projects • SEAL porting started (1.8.1) AAM -- andreas.pfeiffer@cern.ch

  5. Plans for LCG AA s/w onTiger • New configuration LCG_46 • To accommodate for new versions in some externals • Finish porting of SEAL 1.8.1a • End of the week (hopefully) • Port experiment specific externals • Using help from experiments • RELAX, CORAL, POOL, COOL • Start early next week ? • Done by end June ? • Depends on resources in projects • Depends on porting of experiment specific externals AAM -- andreas.pfeiffer@cern.ch
