  1. Military High School and College of MoD in Moravská Třebová „Where everyone is someone!”

History of the school and its area: 1922 – Russian Grammar School (for Russian immigrants after October revolution); September 1,1935 to Nazi occupation in 1938 - Military Reformed Real Grammar School - eight year full-time study; 1939 – 1945 Prisoner of War Camp (4500 French, British and Yugoslavian officers); 1945 – 1947 – HQs Tank Corps 1; 1947 – 1949 – Tank Brigade 11 garrison; September 1,1949 to 1996 - Jan Žižka Military Grammar School – three later four year full-time study; September 1,1996 to 2006 - Military Technical School of MoD - four year full-time study; September 1,2006 –Military High School and College of MoD - four year full-time study.

  3. Cooperation with the Organization of Czechoslovak Legionaries Since 1997 our military high school has been proud to bear the honorary title in association with the Organization of Czechoslovak Legionaries – „The school of the Organization of Czechoslovak Legionaries“

Educational programs • MILITARY LYCEUM • TECHNICAL LYCEUM • ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING • four year full-time study, • - max. 480 students at age 15 - 19; • ECONOMICS • three year part-time study (max. 180 students, adults); • protection of troops and population - COLLEGE • - six semester part-time study (max. 45 students, adults);

  5. The school's mission and tasks 1. During four years of study to prepare students to complete secondary education and to obtain the school-leaving examination, to prepare students for their further military career or to prepare students for their further education at the University of Defence; 2. During three years of study the aim is to prepare students (NCOs and civilian employees of MoD) to obtain their secondary and post-secondary vocational qualifications; 3. Soldier´s retraining in various courses;

  6. Study options Four year study for primary school graduates: • Military lyceum –90 new students to be received, • Electrical engineering – 30 new students to be received, • Technical lyceum – this course will be abandoned in 2018;

  7. Study options Three-year part-time study for soldiers and civilian employees of MoD with vocational school certificate: Branch of study: Economics –60 new studentsto be admitted

  8. Study options Three year post-secondary vocational education for soldiers, civilian employees or civilian students with school-leaving certificate; Branch of study: Protection of troops and population – the course is designed for 15 new students each year

  9. Study options Lifelong education for employees of MoD: Computer literacy testing(ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence) Retraining cources: - tax records - accounting with using of the computer technology - website development and publishing on the Internet - computer-aided design and drafting(CAD);

  10. Educational content Military lyceum- a specialist of theLandforces General education subjects: Czech language and literature, English and other foreign language, mathematics, physics, history, civics, physical education, chemistry, biology, geography, computer science.

  11. Educational content Military lyceum- a specialist of the Land Forces Vocational education subjects: military training, engineering physics, applied mathematics, technical drawing, industrial design, descriptive geometry, computer-aided drawing and design(CAD).

Educational content Military lyceum- a specialist ofthe LandForces Optional subjects: other foreign language (German, French, Russian) Vocational education subjects to be selected in the 3rd grade: - Defense technology: mechanical technology, construction and operation of the military technology; - Military logistics: logistics and military logistics.

  13. Educational content Electrical engineering - a specialist of the Air Forces General education subjects: Czech language and literature, English and Russian language, mathematics, physics, history, civics, physical education, chemistry, biology, geography, computer science, economics, electrotechnology.

  14. Educational content Electrical engineering - a specialist of the Air forces Vocational education subjects: military training, technical documentation, fundamentals of electrical engineering, digital technology, electrical engineering, electrical equipment, electrical machinery and equipment, automation, professional practice (based on the contract with Lanškroun High School and Vocational School).

  15. Preparation in military training subject 1st grade: - adaptation process during firth two weeks - swimming training – during the academic year - combined arms professional training – 2 weeks

  16. Preparation in military training subject 2nd grade: - swimming training – during the academic year - ski lessons – 1 week - special training in physical education – 1 week - Health Protection Course at theFaculty of Military Health Careof University of Defense in Hradec Králové – 1 week - combined arms professional training – 1 week Electrical engineering - professional practiceat the Training Command & Military Academy in Vyškov – 1 week

  17. Preparation in military training subject 3rd grade: - self-defense training – 1 week - professional practice at various military units – 1 week - combined arms professional training – engineer preparation at battalions of the engineer regiment– 1 week Electrical engineering - professional practiceat the Training Command & Military Academy in Vyškov – 1 week
