Verna. This is a project about Verna, which is a little village. The next bigger town is Frielendorf. In this photo you can see the sign at the entrance of our village. In this photo you can see the church. It was built 800 years ago. That is the war memorial.

  1. Verna This is a project about Verna, which is a little village. The next bigger town is Frielendorf. In this photo you can see the sign at the entrance of our village.

  2. In this photo you can see the church. It was built 800 years ago. That is the war memorial.

  4. Here you can see the community hall.

  5. That is the Kindergarten

  6. Verna has also got a school. Here you can see Ohetal-Schule which has got: • a primary school, • an extended elementary school and • a secondary school.

  7. Here can you see the primary school.

  8. Here you see the buildings of the extended elementary school and the secondary school.

  9. Verna has a popular restaurant „Landgasthaus Hessenland“

  10. Verna Verna has a sports ground, the name of it is „Sportplatz am Batzenberg“.

  11. Here you can play tennis.

  12. You can ride in Verna, at the ranch „Stiebeling.“

  13. House of fire brigade Here you can see the house of fire brigade. The rooms are used by the fire brigade and the German-Red-Cross.

  14. In Verna there are some festivals: Each second year, in autum, there is a festival called „Kartoffelfest“. Then there is a wine-festival along the Ohe. You must attend our „Kirmes“ which is a big party for all the people living in our village We also have got a „Dorfabend“ where we all sit together and have a lot of fun
