Those covered under EGID show as “employer”. • Of the 223,100 in the non-group category, 146,286 are enrolled in a plan through the Federal health insurance marketplace. • Of the 146,286 enrolling in a plan on the marketplace: • 95% (100-400% FPL)received a tax credit used to subsidize their premium • 64% (100-250% FPL) received a cost sharing reduction. • Other Public is military and VA. • Tribal members that receive coverage only through IHS are included in the uninsured count. Inside the numbers • 68% of Oklahoma’s population is under 400% FPL. • In 2018, 36% of the subsidy eligible population enrolled in a marketplace health plan. • About half of Oklahoma’s private sector employers offer health insurance. • 32.3% of private sector employers with fewer than 50 employees offer health insurance. (National avg is 29.8%)

Current Medicaid coverage • To qualify for the current Medicaid program an individual must be a resident and has to meet 2 requirements: • 1) Categorical eligibility- under age 19; pregnant; aged; blind; disabled; parent/caretaker • 2) Financially eligibility- dependent upon categorical eligibility • i.e., Children are eligible up to 200%; parent/caretakers are eligible up to 45%
