  1. Enable or Disable Clipboard Sync on Windows 10 Devices The users of Windows 10 have the option to transfer images of one PC to the other PC with the help of cloud-based Clipboard. Every user has the option to choose the items and upload those items on the cloud service. Some users prefer to keep this app out of the syncing process to keep their privacy safe (those who use Clipboard to save daily meetings and schedules on Clipboard), so they disable it from the setting. Here is how to enable or disable clipboard sync in Windows 10: Disabling Clipboard Sync There are three methods to form where you can enable and disable the Sync feature of the Clipboard in the Windows 10.  Those are: Through Settings. Through Registry Editor. Through Group Policy Editor. Source : Clipboard Sync | mcafee.com/activate

  2. Enabling and Disabling through Settings • Go to Settings. • Tap on System Tab. • Double-click on the Clipboard. • Here you can use the toggle button to disable or enable the sync of Clipboard (if it is blue then it is enabled when it’s grey, then it is disabled.) • To apply the change in setting, you have to log in from your Microsoft account. • Changing the setting of Clipboard Sync Through the Registry Editor • Launch Run. You can use Windows + R or use start button then search tab. • Enter regedit in the command space, then tap on the OK button. • The Registry window will open, now you have to reach out to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System window. • In this window, reach out to System Key (left pane), and right-click on it. • Now choose New, then go to DWORDValue (32-bit). • Here now you have to assign the value of AllowCrossDeviceClipboard. • Enter the Value data 0 (to disable the sync) • Exit the Registry Editor. • If you wish to enable this feature, then you only have to change the value data from 0 to 1. • To apply the changes you don’t have to restart the PC. • Source : Clipboard Sync | mcafee.com/activate

  3. Changing the setting of Clipboard Sync Through Group Policy Editor • Launch Run. You can use Windows + R or use start button then search tab. • Enter the gpedit.msc in the command field, and hit the OK button. • In the new window, you have to go to The Computer Configuration. • Then find the Administrative Templates. • Go to System tab. • Double-tap on OS Policies to • open the window go to setting section • There on the right pane of setting section, you have to find the option Allow Clipboard Synchronization Across Device. • After you find it, double-click on it to go to the next window. • Now, set Disabled or Enable in the Allow Synchronization Across Devices option. • Now you should save the changes made in the setting by clicking on Save. • Conclusion • The cloud technology is absolutely awesome, but users can’t ignore the fact there are many “Bad” users out there who wish and try to invade others privacy. So, every user has to keep themselves safe. No matter what, upload only that data you want to share with others, or you want to save the data apart from your computer.
