  2. Introduction • NATIONAL GREEN CORPS was initiated nationwide by the Union ministry of Environment and forests in the year 2001-2002. • Our principal has inaugurated the N.G.C week on the 20th July, 2007.

GOALS and objectives • To motivate and stimulate young minds. • To inculcate proper attitude towards the environment. • To sensitize children to issues related to environment. • To impart knowledge to students through hands-on experience. • To provide environment education opportunities for students.

  5. Eco rallies Spreading Awareness • About 30 students of class 8th class went for a rally to the K.B.R.Park • To spread awareness about advantages of afforestation.

  6. Better waste disposal In Butterfly fields park • Students of 10th class visited Butterfly park (Jubilee hills) and cleaned the park • Waste was deposited in bins

  7. Kid’s show

  8. Interactive programs • Students participated in various seminars and workshops as a part of their practical.

  9. We are concerned! • Our school participates in the ‘WOW’ program • Biology students cultivate various organic foods • We use organic manure • We conserve rain water and make use of solar energy

  10. Impact • Awareness was created amongst individuals • Students learned to nurture our Mother Earth • They learnt the interdependence of nature • The total green area increased to about 21% around our school
