  2. INDEFINITE PRONOUNS • Types of indefinite pronouns that don’t refer to a person, place or thing are always SINGULAR. • Categories of indefinite pronouns: • Some :( somebody,someone,something) • Every: ( everybody,everyone,everything) • Any: ( Anybody,Anyone,Anything)

  3. Everybody Indefinite Pronouns Each of these words is singular , And any Pronoun that refers to one of them MUST also be singular. I.e... He, She, His ,Her, Him. Anyone Anybody Nobody No one Somebody Someone Etc……….

  4. Examples • Anyone can quit smoking if he or she wants to. • Everybody should do his or her best to keep the reception area unclustered. • No one in the mixed doubles let his or her guard down for a minute. • Everyone is entitled to his or her full pension. As you can see Anyone and Everyone requires the singular Pronouns he, she, his and her. Note: If Anyone or Everybody is a women you should use She or her also, if Everyone or Someone is a man use Him or He.
