  2. THINGS TO REMEMBER Everything is fair game: I might draw questions from: • Notes • Assignments (including your PowerPoint) • Readings • Videos • Discussions

  3. Mid-Unit Test Format The test will be 50 marks as follows: • 10 marks fill in the blanks (no word bank) • 5 marks on a debatable topic • 15 marks of short answer (do 5 out of 8 or 9 choices) • 20 marks of long answer (do 2 out of 5 or 6 choices) – paragraph!

TERMS: unlike geography, we haven’t have many terms, but you are responsible for: • Melting pot • Salad/Mosaic • Multiculturalism • Multinationalism • Sedentery • Disunited • Assiniboine • And any other term we have discussed in class! • Assimilation • Integration • Separation • Egalitarian • Stratified • Palisade(d) • “pro” • “con” • teepee

  5. Short Answer: may include (but is not limited to): • Ice age et al • Multiculturalism (pro’s and con’s) • George Stanley • Robin Fisher • Trade goods • Sioux tribes • Blackfoot Confederacy • Types of technology • Salad/Mosaic

  6. Long Answer May include (but is not limited to): • Climate change and effects on the quality of life (Southern Ontario) • First Nations link to the land • Uses of the Plains Bison • The teepee • Assignment #1 (assimilation/integration…)
