SAGRA: • is a voluntary NPO organization that aims to promote all gravity racing disciplines. • provides opportunities to all South Africans to participate in gravity sports. • aims to encourage qualities of good sportsmanship and courage. • fosters friendship between gravity racers in South Africa and around the world. • has been organising and sanctioning gravity races for over 10 years

  3. What are Gravity Sports? Classic Luge (“buttboard”) and Street Luge In this division, riders assume a horizontal ‘lying-down’ position. Classic Luge is performed on a wooden board with four wheels and Street Luge is performed on a metal board with four to eight wheels.

  4. Stand-up category (“downhill skateboarding”): The rider stands upright on the board. This is the fastest growing category, with categories for Open, seniors, juniors, ladies and under 14’s.
