  2. Project: IMHOTEP 55% (151) have gone on to obtain graduate degree: PhD, MPH, MPP, MD, EdD, MSW, PharmD 10% Presently employed at CDC/ATSDR

  3. AISES Summer Internship American-Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) 10 week summer program focused on American Indian and Native Alaskan students -Inaugural class 2001- Focus: Science, Engineering, and Technology Goals: Increase American Indian and Alaskan Native representation at CDC/ATSDR and at the Departments of Commerce and Transportation in Washington D.C. Recent graduates: 2 in MPH/PhD, 1 in MD program

  4. Public Health Summer Fellows Program 8 week summer program Collaboration among Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University (Rollins), and CDC/ATSDR Focus: To encourage and prepare students to pursue careers in public health at the graduate level

  5. Ferguson Emerging Infectious Disease Fellows Collaborative effort of CDC/ATSDR and the Minority Health Professions Foundation (MHPF) 8 week summer program Target: Graduate-level minority students from member institutions of the MHPF Goal: Exposure of public health, medical, and other health care profession students to myriad of public health employment opportunities available upon graduation

  6. HACU National Internship Program Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) 10 to 15 week summer or semester-long program Target: Undergraduate Hispanic students of the HACU member institutions Goals: Exposure of talented Hispanic students to diversity of careers in the federal/corporate sector

  7. Hispanic-Serving Health Professions Schools Program Hispanic-Serving Health Professions Schools, INC (HSHPS) is a non-profit org representing 21 medical schools & 3 schools of public health Target: Hispanic students in medical and public health schools Goals: Improve health of Hispanic populations through research, and to increase Hispanic representation in public health careers
