  1. Six Features of CPVC Fittings CPVC pipes are a form of PVC pipe that had chlorine added to it to improve its temperature and corrosion resistance. These same traits carry over to CPVC fittings. Here are the six features of CPVC fittings that matter most. Versatility CPVC fittings have a number of benefits over the alternatives. They don’t just connect PVC and CPVC pipe. As long as the dimensions line up, CPVC fittings can connect to all types of metal pipes. It won’t trigger oxidation. You can screw them together and seal the connection point with the same no-heat sealants used to connect two CPVC pipes. Their Diversity CPVC pipe fittings are made from plastic, and this means they can take literally any shape. They come in far more shapes than horizontal, ninety degree and T-connections. You can find CPVC pipe fittings with 30 degree connectors, 120 degree connectors and multiple branches off the main pipe. You can buy these leak- proof fittings off the shelf and install them immediately, and you can often find them with whatever type of threaded connection you need. In fact, many CPVC fittings can be installed vertically or horizontally, with or against the direction of the fluid flow, and it performs equally well. The alternative is cutting and welding metal pipes to create the connections that you want. And this tends to result in complex interchanges that take up unnecessary space. Their Strength CPVC fittings can handle high working pressures. This means the end caps you install on CPVC piping systems are far less likely to break off than those on copper or steel pipes. And they’ll resist corrosion and cavitation. This minimizes water hammers and overall vibration that cause piping connections to fail over time. Another variation of this is that they won’t rust, pit or scale. Their Chemical Stability CPVC hardly reacts to the environment. This is a point in its favor if you’ve dealt with rusted pipes and corroded connections. CPVC pipe fittings can withstand exposure to salty air, low pH water and corrosive soils. You won’t have to replace the pipes in a few years because your wastewater or the soil

Their lack of reaction to various substances makes them ideal for reclaimed and wastewater pipes. Its Low Cost CPVC pipes and pipe fittings are cheaper to buy than those made from metal. They are cheaper to transport, as well, due to their lighter weight. And they’re cheaper to install since you just have to screw them together and use non-weld sealant to create a tight seal. Slip together pipes are even simpler to install. Their Fire Protection CPVC pipes and CPVC pipe fittings don’t expand much on exposure to heat. More importantly, the plastic pipes can’t catch fire, and they won’t release toxic smoke when hot. This makes them incredibly safe for residential and industrial buildings. It also explains why they’re regularly used in sprinkler systems, though it makes them ideal for use in water delivery systems of all kinds. Their dimensional stability on exposure to high heat also makes them a good choice for industrial and process piping; the pipes won’t expand to the point of breaking or warp on exposure to hot equipment.
