  4. The Activation Process… • A simple process that will allow you to begin viewing your child’s education progress • The school will… • Provide you with an activation code • Provide you with simple instructions to follow • Provide you with assistance

  5. To activate your edline.net account, go to http://www.edline.net website. The image below represents the main Edline user login page. Follow the directions as described in your manual that has been provided to you. Once your account is activated, you will use it to sign into edline.net.

  6. When you log onto Edline, the first page you see is your school’s home page. You can navigate anywhere within the school’s Edline site from here. The school home page displays school-wide information and links to other activities in the school. These classes, clubs, and sports have their own home pages displaying information specific to them. It is important that you use the links and buttons on Edline’s pages to move around the site. As a general rule, DO NOT use the browser’s forward and back buttons.

Receiving New Report Emails • Edline can send you a “new report alert” email message when class progress reports have been posted for your child. • Once you’ve logged into Edline, click on Manage Account in the Command Center. This will let you sign up for E-mail which allows the school to notify you when additions are made to Edline.

Edline Report Emails… • By signing up for e-mail notification, a message will be sent to you whenever a teacher has uploaded new graded assignments. • Click on the link and it will take you directly to Edline’s log in. Once you log in, you will be taken to the page which lists the recent postings. Click on the posting of the class you wish to view in order to see your student’s

  10. Class Reports… • To obtain grade information or information about a specific subject click on your child’s name in the short cut section. This brings you to the student’s home page, which contains your child’s classes.

  12. 2 Ways To View Your Child’s Grades: Once you are on your child’s home page, there are 2 ways to view postings of your student’s grades. Method 1: Click on the “Private Reports” link located under “User Contents” to view a list of all postings by date. Next, click view for the posting you wish to see from the list displayed on the page.

  13. 2 Ways To View Your Child’s Grades: Method 2: From the student’s home page, click on a specific subject under “Classes” section. Under the “Contents” section, locate the folder containing he report you are interested in viewing. The report should look similar to the image displayed on the right.

Anatomy Of An Edline Report… • This page identifies: • Each “Date” of an assignment • The “Category” which assigns a value for the overall grade (test, quiz, class work, homework) • The “Score”which is the number of points earned on the assignment. • The “Max” which is the number of total possible points on the assignment. • “**” Indicates the information has not been recorded (or may be missing) but the overall grade is not impacted by the score. • “X” Indicates the student is exempt from the assignment and the overall grade is not impacted by the score.

  15. Anatomy Of An Edline Report… This page identifies summary information. In the top left corner you will find the current gradeaverage for the current term and the percentage for the current term, based on the recorded scores of the assignments. This page will also identify missing assignments providing the parent with a listing of work that has not been completed.
