OBJECTIVES OF WORKSHOP ON SYLLABI OF BBA • To Upgrade the Syllabi of BBA Courses • To update and restructure the curriculum to meet the needs and requirements of the society • To make the BBA syllabi more Flexible, interactive and modular to match the current scenario wherein all knowledge is interdisciplinary. • To Model curricula to take care of lacuna, defects/shortcomings in existing one and to develop a new model which is in tune:- with recent developments in subject, • To introduce innovative concepts

To introduce a multi disciplinary profile, and • To allow a flexible criteria like initiate new papers to cater frontier developments in BBA • To remove duplicities and overlapping in the titles. • To remove the duplicities and repetitions in the contents. • To make changes in the syllabi in the light of enhancing employability. • To prepare integrated and innovative syllabi.

IMPORTANT NOTES • Certain auditing concepts can be included that will help students to build their interest in this field also. • Indirect tax to be included in any of the three BBA teaching years • Compulsory part-time training should be provided to the students of BBA II in the months - July-October.

  12. Auditing and income tax are two subjects that are required for corporate sector job eligibility. • So both these subjects should be added in the courses curriculum. • One subject in BBA II and BBA III can be added.

PRACTICAL CLASS OUTLINES: • Field visit to successful enterprise - study of characteristics of successful entrepreneurs - case study. • SWOT analysis of selected enterprise. • Development of project proposals - formulation of project plan. • Entrepreneurship cell in the colleges: Building relationships and interaction with venture capitalists, technology providers, enterprise-promoting agencies, commercial banks, and other financial institutions should be facilitated. • Discussion on the case histories of different entrepreneurs in the classroom.

ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR (BBA III) • The following were issues and suggestions given by teachers for the above Syllabus updation • ISSUE: • Note: CASE STUDIES FOR EACH TOPIC SHOULD BE DISCUSSED IN THE CLASS(??) • SUGGESTION: • Class room lectures should be substantiated by Case Analysis, suggested readings, assignments, viva-voce, Demo Exercises, Movie Analysis, Management Games, role playing, simulation and other psychological testing exercises. • (Should be made mandatory along with each concept) • very extensive coverage • Additional materials may be handed out in class
