  2. How to Overcome Stage Fright? PRACTICE One of the best ways to be confident on stage is to practice as much as you can whatever you have to speak about. There are a lot of ways to practice your part beforehand for the stage so that you don't hesitate while you are in front of an audience. You can start by standing in front of the mirror and practising your dialogues or speech, and that is going to help you build your confidence. This way, you will also be able to improve your fluency and get better before you are actually on stage.

  3. Start with a Smile When you get on stage, before you start speaking, take a moment and look at your audience in the eyes. Then try to smile or a fake one, and start speaking. This will be quite helpful because once you smile at your audience, they start to connect with you, and you feel as if you are addressing your friends or people you know. This way, you won't feel nervous and won't stutter in front of other people while you are talking to them or addressing them while being on stage. Meditating or Deep Breathing Helps Before you get on stage, it is possible that you might be feeling very anxious or nervous. So, before you go on stage and start delivering your speech, it is best if you can do some breathing exercises beforehand to calm yourself down and then get up on stage. You can also meditate for a while before starting. However, it helps if you start mediating a few days before you have to be on stage so that there is no build-up at the time when you have to address a group of people.

  4. Prepare in Advance If you are someone who is frightened of addressing an audience, is shy, and feels scared getting up on stage, then it is best to have your material prepared beforehand. Instead of thinking of going spontaneous, it is better that you have practiced and prepared what you will talk about in front of other people. Write down all the points you want to talk about; Think of a Happy Place If seeing so many people in front of you makes you feel nervous or scared, think so a place that you are comfortable in and enjoy being at, a place that makes you feel confident and happy. It can be your school, work, office, or any particular situation where you are most comfortable. In your mind, picture yourself being at that place and giving your speech, this way, you will be able to feel a little relaxed, and then you can easily address the people in front of you without feeling nervous.

  5. Eat Well Before Getting on Stage Due to nervousness, some people avoid eating before they have to talk on stage. However, this can never work in your favour. It is important to eat well and have had a good night's sleep before you get on stage and talk about what you have to. Having a full stomach and a good amount of rest will allow you to have your full energy while you are on stage, and so you will feel less nervous and more confident. Don't Try to Make it Perfect; It's Okay to Make Mistakes. As a human, it is impossible to not make mistakes. So instead of trying to be perfect, go with the flow. Prepare yourself well, but even if you make a mistake or two, that's okay. Just go ahead and say whatever you have to, and even if you make mistakes, people will remember your message and not your mistakes.
