  1. When it comes to lighting your indoor garden, the right amount of light is essential for your plants. A good rule of thumb is about 6 hours per day of bright, indirect lighting. But if you do not have a sunny window, you can put sheer curtains over them to filter some of the sunlight. Whether you are growing indoor plants or growing them in a container, you should be able to provide adequate lighting for your plants. And remember that not all indoor garden plants like bright light, so be sure to take this into consideration when choosing your plants. The amount of water a plant requires is important as well. Indoor garden plants require more water than their outdoor counterparts. They may be growing in a pot, but they dry out faster than those in soil. If you are planting your indoor plants in a pot, you can use room temperature water. Do not overwater them, as over-watering could cause root rotting and diseases. Look for wilted stems and brown leaves. When choosing indoor garden plants, make sure to select plants that do well in low light conditions. Certain vegetables, such as lettuce and hot peppers, are great choices for indoor gardens. Some herbs do well in a sunny spot, while others thrive in a shady area. Some plants like lettuce are perfect for low-light environments. They can survive year-round in moderate temperatures, as long as they are placed under a grow light about 3 inches above the plants.

  2. In addition to fruits, flowers can be grown indoors. Normally, fruits are grown on large trees and require a lot of space. But researchers are finding ways to grow them in a more compact space. Fruits like mangoes and guavas can grow indoors. If you have a dark space and would like to liven up the area, flowers can be a great option. African violets and peace lily can bring light to dark spaces and add a touch of fragrance. The temperature of your soil is another key factor. If your home is humid, plants can suffer from fungal diseases. To reduce the risk of fungal infections, open windows and use fans. Room dehumidifiers are also an option if your indoor garden is particularly humid. Keeping the temperature at a steady and comfortable level is key to making sure your plants grow healthy and happy. If you don't have the proper lighting for your plants, make sure you check with a local greenhouse before purchasing plants. Keep in mind that the soil used in an indoor garden is often soilless. Thus, it is important to feed your plants with fertilizer specifically designed for vegetables and fruits. Apply fertilizer every two weeks or every three months. Moreover, fertilize your indoor garden plants with a time-release fertilizer to get the nutrients they need. The nutrients in the soil will quickly be depleted, so you will need to supplement their food supply with organic fertilizers.
