Purpose of the Youth Council • Develop and recommend local youth employment and training policy and practice • Broaden the youth employment and training focus in the community to incorporate a youth development perspective • Establish linkages with other organizations serving youth • Take into account a range of issues that can have an impact on the success of youth in the labor market

  18. Responsibilities of the Youth Council Coordinate youth activities in a local area Develop portions of the local plan related to eligible youth Conduct oversight with respect to eligible providers of youth activities Other duties as authorized by the WDC
