It is also known as "Sorath”. • Junagadh is mostly famous as a pilgrimage center and an ancient city. • The most well known places of visit in junagadh are Uparkot Fort, Maqbara, Junagadh Zoo, Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Durbar Hall Museum, Gir Forest National Park, Somnath temple and Ahmedpur Mandvi Beach.
