  1. What Kids Want for Their Birthday Parties? As a parent, planning a birthday party and deciding the birthday party venue for kids can seem to get more and more stressful and time-consuming year after year. We obsess over small little details until the final outcome is a successful event for your kids. However, those big birthday bashes we see online may not be what your child really wants for their celebration. Earlier, birthday parties were all about having fun with friends and then gorging on home cooked food. Today, simple birthday parties have converted into lavish carnivals. Kids these days are great at expressing exactly what they want. Trends have changed over the years and these days in Singapore, indoor playgrounds have become a popular choice of venue among kids. What kids really want their birthday parties to be like? • The first thing kids want is to play and have fun with their friends. There are lot of activities that can be planned, but sometimes they want just unstructured play time to just be together and explore things together. • Another thing they expect is to play games without any competition. Games where they can get “out” can be tough and make the kids sad or restless. They just want to be free from any stress and do not want to get involved in the pressure to compete. • Kids love to be involved in the planning. One party element which they should get to select is their birthday cake. To keep them from getting overwhelmed in the process, narrow down the options and then ask them to select. Incorporating your child’s interests is a great way to make their day special. • Kids want their parents also to share in the fun of their party and have fun. If having kids running around in your home gives you anxiety, you can plan the party at a park or a playroom. In Singapore, indoor playgrounds are hugely popular with local population and many parents take their kids to these play centres regularly to contribute towards their mental, physical and social development. It is not always necessary that kids want to have a big and crazy party. A birthday party venue for kids should be such a place where they can have fun with their friends and loved ones, and stay happy and relaxed. Always make sure to discuss and talk about the things, in order to make sure that you can plan a special day for them without any pressure or stress.
