  3. What does our group look like? 2 Gold Ambassadors from Further Education 2 Silver Ambassadors elected by YPSS Council Bronze Ambassadors nominated by High Schools

The role of ambassadors … Gold Ambassadors Silver Ambassadors Bronze Ambassadors Plan for the year with the PDM Plan for the year with the PDM and GAs Plan for the year with the GAs and SAs Support the SAs and BAs via YPSS Council & Organising Groups Support the Bronze Ambassadors via YPSS Council & Organising Groups Take messages and tasks from YPSS Council & Organising Groups back to school Undertake role as planned with PDM Undertake role as planned with PDM/GAs Undertake role as planned with GAs/SAs Lead NSSW celebrations across the SSP Support NSSW celebrations across the SSP Lead a NSSW celebration for your primaries

  5. Lead ambassador … Bronze Ambassadors From each school we now need to split into lead ambassadors for: • Competition • Increasing Participation at 14-16

Active Arcade … Aims to … • Increase participation in physical activity at 14-16 years old • Increase activity levels of those not taking part in anything beyond core PE • Use new technology as a ‘hook’ to participation • Provide these students with a competition opportunity – both intra & inter • Signpost students to participation outside of school

  7. Active Arcade … The proposed package: 2 x Indoor Bike 5 x Wii Sports with TVs 2 x Indoor Rower 2 x Dats mats with Wii, Sound System & Projector

  8. Active Arcade … Collecting Data … • Pupils to use a log book to track progress over a number of weeks • Recording progress in this log will mean we can compare progress and rank for intra and inter school competition • Progress recorded should give students a sense of achievement

Active Arcade … Costs & Fundraising … • Each pack as proposed will cost approx £6000 • Log Books for each pack would cost £60 (based on 30 students) Funding raised so far … • Education Improvement Partnerships • VR School Sport Partnership Other funding possibilities … • Youth Opportunity Fund (requires YP to write) • Sport Unlimited funding • Sport England Small Grant funding • Healthy Schools/Primary Care Trust • Health & Fitness Clubs • Sponsorship
