  1. Rules for Civil Services Examination PRAGNYA IAS

  2. RULE - 1 • UPSC full form Union Public Service commission. • The examination will be conducted by UPSC • Prelims • Mains • The dates and the places fixed by UPSC.

  3. RULE - 2 • Choose Preferences of services and posts • Choose the state • Based on selection Positions Will be allotted

  4. RULE - 3 • Positions will be filled by UPSC based on Result Reservation • Reservation Castes Physically disabled categories

  5. RULE - 4 • Number of attempts for Aspirants • 6 attempts till 32 years of age(General). • 9 attempts till 35 years of age(OBC). • unlimited attempts till 37 years of age(sc/st).

  6. RULE - 5 • Aspirants must be citizen of Indian • IAS • IPS • Other services(Secretaries) • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specific countries

  7. RULE - 6 Age Limit and Age Relaxation • 32 years of age - General. • 35 years of age - OBC. • 37 years of age - SC/ST.

  8. RULE - 7 Educational Qualification A candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament.

  9. RULE - 8 A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination.

  10. RULE - 9 Candidates must pay the fees prescribed in the Commission's Notice. Rule – 10 Those serving under Public Enterprises will be required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination.

  11. RULE - 11 The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the examination shall be final. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. 

  12. RULE - 12 No candidate will be admitted to the Preliminary/Main Examination unless he holds a certificate of admission for the Examination. RULE - 13 No request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate after he has submitted his application will be entertained under any circumstances.
