History of the Parkside Football Club On 12 January 1934 a group of mates were having a beer at the Alphington Hotel where an idea was thrown around to consider the possibility of forming a football Club. The football club would be called 'Parkside'. The name chosen because Pitcher Park was located centrally in the Alphington Parklands (which extended to Bell Street). It was decided by late February that the club would be represented in the Church's Football League in which it competed from 1934 to 1937. In 1936 Parkside won its first Premiership.In 1938 the club was accepted into the VAFA.Parkside Football Club's first Senior Grade Premiership in the VAFA was won in 1954. In 1959, Parkside became known as 'The Devils'.Parkside has won Premierships in the Senior Grade competition of the VAFA in 1954, 1963, 1972, 1982 & 1988.2002 marked the end of 65 years of participation in the VAFA, as the club joined the Diamond Valley Football League (DVFL) for the 2003 season.The DVFL was re-branded for the 2007 season, with a new competition formed called The Northern Football League (NFL). In 2009, Parkside won its first Senior Premiership in 21 years.In 2010 and 2011 Parkside made the Grand final.Itis Parkside’s rich history and tradition, pride in its values and culture that sets it apart from any other club in the Northern Football League.

The Parkside Football Club is fully committed to community involvement and to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all its members, players and supporters. As a sponsor, your support will extend beyond our club to our community. Your contributions will go toward helping our members get the best out of themselves and help our Football Operations Department ensure we have access to the best quality players and training facilities with things like: training balls, payments to senior players, employing qualified trainers, keeping both senior and FIDA fees down and minor upgrades to facilities.

  4. 2014 The year of the DevilAll signs for the coming season are positive so far , the committee has re-appointed George Latouf as our senior coach. After a disappointing end to the 2013 season George has added to his coaching panel and is determined to get the club back into the finals. Cal Curtis has been appointed as the reserves coach and brings a great deal of enthusiasm, Cal comes to us from Lower Plenty and is determined to see the reserves play finals for the first time since 2008We are looking forward to a successful season both on and off the field in 2014 with the arrival of some badly needed youth around the clubwho will be making there way into senior football for the first time after graduating from our junior club. In 2014 We will field two colts sides who will be coached by former senior players Anthony Romano and Tim Wise. While the FIDA (Football Integration Development Association) side will be looking to go one step further and win the grand final after falling short in the two previous attempts. The whole club is gearing up for a huge 2014 and the club needs all supporters and sponsors to get on board to help us achieve our goals for the upcoming season.
