But camping trip with the family is not all fun and happiness. It takes a lot of hustle and preparation to make it a perfect, memorable, and safe one. 2. Primitive Survivors - Family Camping Checklist • Before Creating a Checklist • Before following this checklist for you, here are some things to consider since everyone’s camping experience and needs are different.  • When are You Camping? Make sure you know the exact date you are camping. Campgrounds can fill up so easily, so plan ahead with all the family members, making sure the date does not conflict with their personal schedules. Plan to leave early to avoid congested traffic plus a better chance of setting up a camp before it gets dark.  • What is Your Camping Style? There are people who prefer RVing, while others would rather hammock camp. Some love to camp during winter, but others love the sun. These things affect your family camping checklist.  • Can You Borrow Supplies from Friens and Family? Are you sure you’re ready to buy a tent for long-term use? Or is it more practical to borrow from someone first?  • Are The Kids Ready? Try going backyard camping to test out the preparedness of your children. It will also help you see what gear you’re missing. If you have already camped before, check if their gear are still working or still fit them.
