Have we ever stopped to think why our resolutions are broken? Here are a few reasons why we fail on our New Year’s Resolutions… • 1. We make too many resolutions • 2. We set unrealistic goals • 3. We do not make plans to achieve our resolutions • 4. We do not celebrate our successes • At Wells Middle School, we have made a few New Year’s Resolutions. These resolutions will assist our students in being successful. Listed below are a few of our resolutions… • 1. Our attendance rate will be 98% or higher • 2. Our school will be a safe environment for learning • 3. Our school will receive a Recognized rating • After reviewing these resolutions, we know that each are obtainable. These are not unrealistic goals. Our administration, faculty and staff have made plans for our students’ safety and success. We have the Recognize Rating in sight, and we are working toward that goal. At Wells, we view resolutions as challenges to be achieved not goals to be broken. Please join us in making our New Year’s Resolutions become a reality. It will take all of us doing our part. • "We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.“ • As stated in the above quote, the book of ‘opportunity’ is opened and it promises to be an outstanding adventure. • Barbra Leland, Principal
