  1. Profiling Working Group Update to COPS May 9th, 2018 Sheri Wiegand (TXU) – Chair Sam Pak (Oncor) – Vice-Chair

  2. 2018 Annual Validation

  3. Default Profiles – RES • RESIDENTIAL ESIs current profile distribution by weather zone

  4. Default Profiles – BUS • BUSINESS ESIs current default profile is BUSMED • Current profile distribution of NIDR meters With the Sharyland/Oncor transition, does the larger population of BUSMEDLF ESIs represent the default profiles for the new Oncor ESIs created or were historical profiles considered?

  5. Default Profiles – BUS • BUSINESS NIDR Changes for 2018 Annual Validation • The Sharyland/Oncor ESIs would not have been included in the AV process due to lack of historical consumption for ERCOT review. • Plotting of the default profiles for BUSHILF, BUSMEDLF, and BUSLOLF are to be made to determine possible impact of new default profile.

  6. Annual Validation Proposed Process Revisions • Joint TDSP proposal for streamlining AV process… • Business ESIs reviewed annually • Residential ESIs reviewed every 3 years • (all TDSPs to process same year) Market Participants, including ERCOT, are asked to review the proposal to determine if changes will impact any business processes such as forecasting, procurement, pricing/quoting, etc. before an LPGRR is drafted.

  7. Visibility of Distributed Generation for BUSIDRRQ • First Steps… • For existing ESIs with < 1 MW of DG (unregistered)… • ERCOT provided a list of respective BUSIDRRQ ESIs to each TDSP noting any associated Resource IDs (RIDs) • TDSPs determined if an existing Interconnection Agreement (IA) existed • UPDATE: • TNMP- has no ESIs • AEP – 14 ESIs • CNP - <60 ESIs • Oncor – meeting with ERCOT to review reports already submitted Given the low counts of known unregistered DG with BUSIDRRQ profiles, the discussion on the go-forward process has been tabled pending ERCOT review.

  8. Next PWG meeting date: Wednesday, May 23rd, 9:30 AM WebEx only AGENDA • Update on BUSIDRRQ profiled ESIs for DG identification need on a go-forward basis • 2018 Annual Validation status • Review of BUS default profile shapes & clarification of Oncor NIDR counts • Annual Validation Proposed Process • Discuss feedback on AV proposed process • BUS review annually • RES review every three years (next AV 2021) http://www.ercot.com/committees/board/tac/cops/pwg/
