  1. C45 FLAME CUT PLATE : C45 steel plates that have been cut using the thermal cutting technique known as flame cutting are referred to as C45 flame cut plates. Flame cutting is a typical method for shaping and cutting several types of steel, including C45, which is a form of carbon steel. In order to create a high-temperature flame, a fuel gas, such as acetylene or propane, is mixed with oxygen in the flame cutting process. A stream of oxygen blows the molten metal away, leaving a cut, while the tremendous heat produced by the flame melts the C45 steel at the cutting spot. Here are some key points about flame cutting C45 plates: 1. Process: The process begins by marking the desired cutting line on the C45 plate. A cutting torch equipped with a nozzle is then used to direct the flame onto the marked line. The torch is moved along the cutting path, melting the steel as it progresses and creating a kerf (cutting groove). 2. Cutting thickness: Flame cutting is commonly used for thick steel plates, typically ranging from a few millimeters to several hundred millimeters in thickness. It is a preferred method for cutting thicker C45 plates due to its ability to generate high heat and cut through the material efficiently. 3. Heat-affected zone: Flame cutting involves significant heat, which can result in a heat-affected zone (HAZ) along the cut edges of the C45 plate. The HAZ may exhibit changes in the material's mechanical properties, such as hardness and toughness. However, the extent of the HAZ can be minimized through careful control of the cutting parameters and post-cutting treatments. 4. Cut quality: Flame cutting can produce rougher cut surfaces compared to other cutting methods, such as laser or waterjet cutting. The cut edges may exhibit irregularities and dross (resolidified molten metal) that may require additional post-cutting processes, such as grinding or machining, for improved surface finish.

  2. Flame cutting is a versatile and cost-effective method for cutting C45 plates, particularly for thicker sections. However, it's important to note that the heat generated during flame cutting can affect the material properties and may require subsequent processes to refine the cut edges.
