  3. The Renaissance Committee • Purpose: Foster the Renaissance of the Silver Spring Chapter • Sub-committee to formulate chapter mission and identity • Obtain speakers for Nov/Dec meetings • Committee Members • Paul Astiz • Keith Corner • Karen Nichols

  4. Present Membership • Mostly IT professionals • Federal/state/city organizations • PMPs or planning to be PMPs • Desire to learn more about their field • Connections to other efforts, ex. SEI for PM purposes

  7. Suggested Chapter Mission • Environment to foster program management • Federal/State/Local Government and commercial organizations • Gain info on PMP certification • Continue to gain PDUs • Cross-fertilization of ideas • Become better program managers

  8. Recommended Meetings • Monthly meetings • Alternate among 3 locations • Speakers • Federal/state/local government • Commercial organizations • Sound PM experience and knowledge of organizational structure • Entertaining • My Project – Lessons Learned • Advertise PMP prep course
