  3. Guidance in Education • Guidance has a profound impact at pre- entry, on course and exit of learners in education. Many people may offer guidance to students -parents, peers, teachers and ministers for example- however the professional guidance practitioner offers an invaluable impartial and client–centred perspective that empowers the learner to make a realistic and informed decision.

  4. The quality of guidance received by learners in our educational institutions therefore impacts on their initial choice of course, retention on the course, and progression from it. The learner journey and positive role of guidance throughout the learner journey is a powerful marketing tool for educational institutions and a rigorous benchmark of excellence in educational provision.
