  1. Confused About The Kind Of Furnace Filter That Is Best For Your Home? PureFilters Has a Solution

  2. Furnace filters keep the dust and debris from entering our homes through the ducts of the heating or cooling systems. The furnaces filters need to be changed at frequent intervals to ensure that the indoor quality of air that we breathe is maintained to avoid any harm to our loved ones. The furnace pulls air from the environment, heats it, and distributes it in the house through ducts. The air that we breathe in has to be free from bacterial and dust particles. The bad quality of indoor air can lead to lung diseases and breathing problems. There are different varieties of filters available in the market. We can choose a filter that best suits our needs. PureFilters has an exhaustive range of furnace filters.

  3. Furnace filters are rated by their Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV). A furnace is more efficient if the MERV rating is high. The range of MERV is one (least efficient) to twenty (most efficient) • Disposable Fiberglass Filter: One of the most inexpensive filters made of spun fiberglass. They only capture large particles like dust, lint, etc. Disposable fiberglass filters do not do anything to improve the air quality. • Pleated Disposable: They are made from eco-friendly materials like polyester or cotton paper. They trap smaller particles but need to be changed frequently to avoid clogging the furnace system.

  4. Pleated High-Efficiency- This is an expensive option manufactured for hospitals. It can capture the smallest of particles. They are made of thick pleated synthetic cotton attached to a sturdy metal grid. It prevents the cotton from fluttering and prevents leakages. The kind of filters are expensive and only meant to be installed in certain places.

  5. Disposable Electrostatic: The disposable electrostatic filters are made from self-charging electrostatic cotton or paper that can trap small particles. The disposable electrostatic filters are perfect for homes with pets, smokers, and children. The filters are expensive if customized. Electrostatic reusable: These are similar to the disposable electrostatic filters but have a removable machine washable filter usable for six to eight years. The filters are more effective than the pleated filters and are a good option if the furnace is standard-sized.

  6. Polyester filters: They are denser than the pleated filters. They block airborne particles like pollen and dust and can be either pleated or flat with a thickness of four inches. These filters trap 91% of the airborne particles. HEPA: High-Efficiency Particulate Air filter is the most efficient and stops 99.7 percent of the airborne particles from entering our homes through the furnace. They are used in commercial buildings and hospitals. The MERV rating of this particular filter is 16–20. They are not readily available in standard sizes, but PureFilters can make custom-sized filters.

  7. The varieties of filters available in the market are many, but we need to choose filters that best suits our requirements. PureFilters has all types of filters manufactured by OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer). They also manufacture furnace filters as per the requirements of the customers. The quality of the filters is at par with the OEMs but cheaper.
