TRUCKS, TRACTOR-TRAILERS AND BUSES NO-ZONE PRINCIPLE – AVOID THE AREA AROUND TRUCKS WHERE CARS DISAPPEAR INTO BLIND SPOTS FRONT NO-ZONE • MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT SPEED WHEN PASSING • DO NOT PULL IN FRONT OF A TRUCK • DO NOT PASS A TRUCK ON THE RIGHT SIDE NO-ZONE • DO NOT LINGER ALONGSIDE A TRUCK

TRUCKS, TRACTOR-TRAILERS AND BUSES REAR NO-ZONES: DO NOT PASS A TRUCK THAT IS BACKING UP • INCREASE FOLLOWING DISTANCE • DO NOT REMAIN SANDWICHED BETWEEN 2 TRUCKS • STOP SIGN – ENOUGH ROOM TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE DRIVER IN HIS / HER MIRROR ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS – AS MUCH AS 25% LONGER TO STOP THAN USUAL

  7. INSPECTION VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN 1996 OR LATER = 5 YEARS AFTER THE INITIAL FIVE-YEAR INSPECTION CYCLE = EVERY 2 YEARS MUST HAVE VEHICLE INSPECTED WITHIN 14 DAYS AFTER REGISTERING IT

  8. AUTO INSURANCE EVERY VEHICLE REGISTERED IN NJ MUST CARRY LIABILITY INSURANCE
