Mission Statement • To provide guidance for planning, managing and sharing data of value effectively to the whole TRNS•PORT system and FHWA through uniformity and standardization, to ensure successful estimate and proposal preparation needs, to also include the automated proposal distribution, bid entry and analysis of contract award activities.

  9. Revised Long Term Goals • Provide guidance for a Trns*port product that supports the needs of agencies as related to contracting processes • Address easing the total department usage and implementation of Trns•port. This would involve interfacing with other information technology used by a state.

  10. Revised Short Term Goals • Serve as an advocate for agency review and comments on web Trns*port proposals • Identify functionality that may be needed to enhance pre-construction web Trns*port • Identify business process and rules that may impact the development of web Trns*port and various other products.

  11. Revised Short Term Goals Continued • Assist with the review of current Ballot items to determine which ones are best for the overall enhancement of pre-construction web Trns*port

  12. Elections • TAG Coordinator – Lisa Muller (MO) • Assist. TAG Coordinator – Penny Higgins (NC)

  13. Ballot Item Review • Previously Endorsed Items: 3650, 4345, 5011, 7155, 3724, 5940, 1614, 7062, 7150, 7156, 3651, 4849, 8498, 8505 • Newly Endorsed Items: 5800, 9569, 9570 • Ballot Items Deleted: 7091, 7321, 8501, 9803

  14. New Ballot Item – TMR 9954 • Develop a process in the pre-construction component of web Trns•port to allow for Options Bidding practices. Options bidding is where the agency requires the contractor to submit bid prices for a specific set of work items that will only be included in the awarded contract if the total award amount including the options items is below the authorized funding amount for the contract. One or more options packages could be identified for inclusion in the awarded contract. • Options packages are different from Alternatives where one of a multiple set of alternatives is always selected for the awarded contract.
