  2. The Challenge • Baby Boomers – 78 million (1946-1964) • Became eligible for retirement in 2008 • Average Retirement Rates = 8,500 per day • FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS • 1 EVERY 10 SECONDS • Peak retirement will occur in 2022 (1957)

  3. The Challenge (cont.) • Baby Boomers – 78 million (1946-1964) • 28% of the population • 68% of the current work force • 40% of Electric and Natural Gas Utility employees are eligible to retire in 5 years.
