  13. 2.2 Conditions before training训练前研究对象的状况 Language :Poor attention, No meaningful speech, poor response to own name, Indicate needs by using adult’s hand Social :Does not play with other children Cognitive Ability: Identify red & blue color, Identify own belongings Behavior: Temper tantrum, screaming when needs not met, over reaction to stimulus, obsessive & stubborn,

  25. 五、Results of Training 训练成效 Client had a remarkable improvement after three month training in the following areas : • Language: - articulation correct, - improvement in speech tone, - with eye contact when being called, - able to respond in simple word, - follow two steps instruction, - express own needs in simple phrase

  26. 五、Results of Training 训练成效 • Cognitive Ability: - Identify common fruits and daily objects, - Rote counting from 1 to 10, • Social Interaction: - Involve in group activities - Participate in play with other children - Follow rules in play - Can sit and pay attention

  27. 五、Results of Training 训练成效 • Behavior: - Decrease in screaming & temper tantrum, - Decrease in over-reaction to stimulation, - More adaptable to new environment & people

  28. 6、Conclusions 结论 1. The greatest motivation for learning in children with special needs is their individual interest. This is the basis of success in their training program. 2. Practical real life experience are just as important as classroom training. 3. Cooperation and support from the family are crucial to the sustainable success of centre training.
