  3. His college career • He went to UCLA. • He played baseball, football, basketball, and track.

  4. His baseball career • On April 15, 1947 he was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers. • He was the first African American MLB player. • He played second base. • He won the World Series in 1955. • He was an All Star 6 times.

  5. After baseball • Jackie retired in 1956. • He joined the Hall of Fame in 1962. • The number 42 was retired by the MLB.

  6. Why I chose Jackie Robinson • I love and play baseball. • He is one of my favorite players.
