    Chemicalexperts at eachproductionofficeworkingclosewithoursuppliers. Eachorder undergoes a Risk Assessmenthighlightingchemical risks.
  8. In-house competence - random test

    ProductionsamplestoThird Party Lab About30 000 chemical test per year. Test methodslisted in H&M ChemicalRestrictions (standadizedmethodsprefered). Followup and feed back tosuppliers
  9. PART 1 mrsl – valid for ALL PRODUCTION and all product types

    Three categories of substances are included: Substances which are especially harmful for the worker or the environment Substances restricted in products but still shown to be released in the textile supply chain, e.g. Azo Dyes, Phthalates H&M policy decisions e.g. PVC and Per fluorinated Substances

    Different levels of restriction: Clause 1: Substances are not allowed to be found in H&M production site, e.g. APEO Clause 2: Substances are not allowed to be used in H&M production e.g. Perfluorinated Compounds (PFCs)
  11. In-house competence- Chemicaltraining and audits

    Educate and support suppliers Perform audits –check documents such as SDS, Labelling and Storage, Protective Wear, Certificates from Subcontractors.
